Advanced Detection System:
The device detects low-level electrical signals from lightning and provides both visual and audible alerts at three distance ranges. When lightning is first detected, all 8 LEDs flash for 5 minutes before switching to an energy-saving mode that blinks every other LED. The three-color LED system indicates storm proximity: green for strikes at 25 miles, blue for 16 miles, and red for 6 miles or closer. Corresponding audible alerts provide 1 beep for green, 2 beeps for blue, and 3 beeps for red distances.

Installation and Operation:
The detector must be mounted at least 3 feet away from cell phones, wearables, or other devices that emit electrical noise to ensure accurate detection. If the device cycles through all colors during operation, it indicates interference from nearby electronics. When first powered on, the unit operates in Normal Mode and continuously monitors for lightning activity. Pressing the ON button a second time activates Auto-Sleep Mode, where the unit sleeps until motion is detected, then monitors for 30 minutes before returning to sleep if no further motion occurs.

Battery Management:
