Vetus CANVPS V-CAN Power Supply 12V Input 5A Max Output

The Vetus CANVPS is a dedicated power supply for Vetus V-CAN marine CAN-bus networks, designed as the modern replacement for the legacy BPCABCPC unit. It delivers 12V input with a maximum output of 5A, providing clean, regulated power to all connected nodes on the V-CAN line while incorporating built-in protection features that safeguard the entire network.

Key Features:

• Protects the V-CAN network against connection errors, overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse polarity
• 12V input with up to 5A maximum output current
• Flexible installation — can be positioned at the beginning, middle, or end of the V-CAN daisy-chain line
• Direct replacement for the discontinued BPCABCPC power supply
• Compatible with V-CAN, NMEA 2000, and J1939 network installations

Installation Notes:

• Each V-CAN line requires only one 12V power supply
• The V-CAN line must start and end with a V-CAN terminating resistor (CANVT)
• For V-CAN lines exceeding 40 meters in length, a CAN repeater (CANR) must be added to maintain signal integrity
• The V-CAN line must always be wired as a daisy-chain; the main line must never be split

The CANVPS is an essential component for reliable bow thruster and electric propulsion control system installations, ensuring stable network communication across all V-CAN-connected devices aboard.
