The Dexter K23-451-00 is a complete 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" electric trailer brake assembly designed for right-hand (passenger side) mounting on 9,000 to 10,000 lb capacity trailer axles. This genuine Dexter brake assembly features forward self-adjusting (FSA) technology that automatically adjusts the brakes during both forward and reverse stops, virtually eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

The self-adjusting mechanism works by automatically rotating the screw assembly at the bottom of the brake when lining wear creates sufficient gap between the shoes and drum surface. This action expands the distance between the shoes and closes the gap to maintain optimal braking performance. Designed for general duty applications on utility trailers, dump trailers, livestock trailers, and equipment trailers with 16" to 17.5" wheels.
