Product Details

The Sierra 118-9253 is a comprehensive, all-in-one outboard maintenance kit engineered specifically for Mercury V6 Optimax 3.0L 2-Stroke outboard engines with serial numbers 1B227000 and up (non-pro models). Designed to simplify routine service, this kit delivers everything needed for regular maintenance at appropriate service intervals — all in a single box.

Sierra Outboard Engine Maintenance Kits provide a one-box solution to keep Mercury outboard engines running at peak performance and reliability. Each kit arrives in a premium full-color Sierra branded box with labels featuring product photography and a complete list of box contents for easy identification.

Kit Includes:

  • High-quality spark plugs — pre-gapped and ready for installation
  • Water pump kit — specifically engineered for this Mercury V6 Optimax application
  • Thermostat — model-specific fit and function
  • Fuel filter — designed for optimal fuel system protection
  • Anode (Sierra P/N 18-6016A) — for corrosion protection

Each component in the Sierra 18-9253 maintenance kit meets or exceeds OEM specifications, making it a reliable and cost-effective alternative to purchasing individual parts separately. Ideal for scheduled seasonal service or annual overhaul of Mercury V6 Optimax 3.0L 2-stroke outboard motors.
