Speco Loudhailers: Professional-Grade Audio Where It Counts

When clear, powerful audio projection matters — on the water, at a job site, or in a commercial facility — Speco Technologies delivers with a focused lineup of loudhailers and PA horn speakers that have earned the trust of marine enthusiasts, installers, and commercial operators alike. Backed by more than 60 years of experience in professional audio and electronic accessories, Speco brings the same commitment to quality and affordability that defines its broader product catalog directly into this demanding category.

Built for the Elements

Speco's loudhailers are engineered to perform in tough environments without compromise. Their weatherproof PA speaker horns are constructed from durable ABS plastic and fitted with stainless steel mounting hardware — materials chosen specifically for resistance to moisture, salt air, and the wear of outdoor use. Whether mounted on a boat's helm, a dock facility, or an industrial building exterior, these units are designed to hold up season after season.

The adjustable ABS plastic base found on models like the SPC15RP and SPC40RP pivots up to 90 degrees, allowing precise aim of the horn's output — a small but practical detail that makes installation far more flexible. Stainless steel hardware ensures mounting remains secure even in marine-grade corrosive environments.

Real-World Performance Specs

Speco loudhailers are not just rugged — they're acoustically capable. Across the lineup, key specs include:

• Frequency response of 200 Hz to 15,000 Hz, delivering clear voice intelligibility for paging and announcements
• Sensitivity ratings up to 120 dB (1W/1M) on larger models like the SPC40RP, meaning they project sound authoritatively even in noisy environments
• Power handling ranging from 15–30W nominal on compact units up to 40W maximum on full-size horns
• 8-ohm impedance for broad compatibility with standard PA amplifiers and VHF radio hailer outputs

The SPC15RP (5" x 8") and SPC40RP (6.5" x 11") represent the core of Speco's hailer horn range, with the larger model stepping up to 40W max power and 120 dB sensitivity — making it well-suited for larger vessels or facilities where voice projection over distance is critical.

Where Speco Loudhailers Excel

Speco's loudhailers are a natural fit wherever a PA amplifier or VHF radio with a hailer output needs a reliable, weatherproof horn to complete the system. Common applications include:

• Marine use: Paired with VHF radios on powerboats, sailboats, and commercial vessels for hailing, docking calls, and fog signal backup
• Commercial and industrial: Public address and paging in warehouses, marinas, parking facilities, and outdoor venues
• Emergency signaling: Clear audio alerts in settings where ambient noise levels are high

For boaters in particular, Speco's combination of weatherproof construction, stainless steel hardware, and strong output sensitivity makes these horns a practical, cost-effective alternative to premium marine-branded hailers — without sacrificing durability or acoustic performance.
