Magma Barbecue & Table Mounts: Built Around the Grill
A boat grill is only as safe as the hardware holding it. Magma designs its grills and its mounting hardware as one system, so a Magma mount is engineered to fit the grill or fillet table it carries. The company states that it offers one of the largest selections of mounting options available, sold separately so you can tailor a setup to your boat, dock or campsite. This page covers Magma's mounts specifically; for the wider lineup, visit the full Magma brand page, or browse the broader Barbecue & Table Mounts category to compare other makers.
Two Mount Families: Kettle and Rectangular
Magma's mounts are organized around its two grill styles. Part numbers beginning with A10 are made for the round Marine Kettle grills. Part numbers beginning with T10 are made for the rectangular grills and fillet tables. Matching the mount to the grill is the first step, because the two families are not interchangeable.
Mounting Styles for Every Boat Layout
- Round rail mounts: clamp onto tubular boat rails and come in sizes for 7/8" to 1" rails and for 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" rails. Extended and dual versions hold the grill further from the rail.
- Square/flat rail and bulkhead mounts: fasten to square rails, flat surfaces and vertical bulkheads, with side-mount and dual extended variants for rectangular grills.
- Flush deck sockets: single- and dual-locking designs sit flush with the deck or gunnel, so the grill locks in when needed and the surface stays clear when it is not.
- Pedestal mounts: double-locking, stowable pedestals suit boats and docks, and a universal pedestal adaptor is offered for standard-duty grill and table applications.
- Rod holder mounts: LeveLock and Pow'rGrip designs drop into a standard rod holder and are all-angle adjustable, so the grill can be leveled even when the holder is set at a slant.
- Surface slide mounts: a removable slide mount installs on a surface and lets you take the grill off the boat when you are done.
Going Ashore
Magma's mounting range is not limited to the water. The On-Shore Stand turns a Marine Kettle into a portable tabletop grill with folding legs, a practical option for beach days, patios and tailgating when you want to use the same grill off the boat.
Why Marine-Grade Construction Matters
Salt spray, humidity and constant vibration are hard on hardware. Magma's marine grills are made from 18-8 mirror-polished stainless steel to resist saltwater corrosion, and its mounts follow the same approach, with stainless steel and cast aluminum used across the line. A mount that corrodes or loosens puts a hot grill at risk, so corrosion resistance and a positive locking action count for more than anything else.
Choosing the Right Magma Mount
- Confirm whether you own a kettle or a rectangular grill or table, and choose the A10 or T10 family to match.
- Measure your rail diameter, or check whether you have a square rail, bulkhead or flat surface.
- Decide whether you want a fixed installation, such as a flush deck socket, or a removable one, such as a slide or pedestal mount.
- Consider clearance. Extended mounts hold the grill away from the rail, which helps keep heat clear of fiberglass, canvas and passengers.
Once you know your grill and your mounting surface, the choice usually comes down to a few options. Compare the Magma mounts below, and see the Barbecue & Table Mounts category for additional hardware.
