Engineered Marine Products 27-02206-1 Marine Thermostat Housing Gasket

The Engineered Marine Products 27-02206-1 is a replacement thermostat housing gasket engineered for marine inboard and sterndrive engine cooling systems. Designed to deliver a reliable, leak-free seal between the thermostat housing and the engine block or intake manifold, this gasket is a critical component in maintaining proper coolant flow and engine temperature regulation.

Marine cooling systems endure repeated heat cycles and harsh water environments that can cause original gaskets to harden, crack, or compress over time. Replacing the thermostat gasket during any thermostat service or housing removal helps prevent coolant leaks, corrosion to surrounding components, and overheating conditions that can cause serious engine damage.

Key Features:

• Precision-cut gasket profile for accurate, consistent sealing
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Compatible with marine inboard and sterndrive cooling system applications
• Resistant to coolant fluids and thermal cycling
• Ideal for thermostat replacement, cooling system service, and winterization prep

Engineered Marine Products (EMP) is a well-established manufacturer of aftermarket marine engine components, offering dependable replacements for Mercury, MerCruiser, and other major marine engine platforms. The 27-02206-1 is sold individually and is recommended for replacement any time the thermostat housing is removed for service.
