The Sierra 118-99544 Coil Locator Ring is a precision service tool designed for Johnson and Evinrude 2-cylinder outboard engines. This specialized tool ensures accurate positioning and air gap setting of sensor and stator charge coils, which is critical for proper ignition timing and optimal engine performance.
Key Features:
This locator ring tool eliminates guesswork when positioning magneto coils, ensuring proper air gap clearance for smooth engine operation. The tool is particularly useful for engines equipped with the 133-3387 style trigger/sensor found on 1978-2006 models. By maintaining correct coil positioning, this tool helps prevent poor idle conditions and ensures equal timing across cylinders.

Overall good experience. However, the delivery company delivered to the wrong address. Yes the package labeling reflected the correct address. Luckily, the person they delivered the package actually delivered it to my address.
