Sierra 18-99534 DVA Peak Reading Voltage Adapter for Marine Ignition Testing

The Sierra 18-99534 is a Direct Voltage Adapter (DVA) designed for accurate peak voltage testing on marine engine ignition systems. This essential diagnostic tool enables technicians to measure peak AC voltage output by converting AC signals to DC readings that can be displayed on a standard digital multimeter.

Key Features:

• Built-in test leads for convenient testing without additional adapters
• Replacement tips fit most standard test clips
• Designed specifically for use with shielded digital multimeters
• Simplifies testing of electronic ignition systems, stators, sensors, and charging systems
• Essential for diagnosing capacitor discharge (CD) ignition systems on marine outboards
• Automatic polarity compensation for accurate readings

DVA testing is critical for marine ignition diagnostics because standard digital multimeters cannot read peak voltage output. This adapter features a built-in bridge rectifier that converts AC to DC, allowing your multimeter's DC voltage scale to accurately measure peak AC voltage values. The DVA readings are consistent with service manual specifications, making this tool indispensable for troubleshooting marine engines with variable-frequency ignition systems.

Premium quality construction ensures reliable performance and long service life. Backed by Sierra's limited lifetime warranty for peace of mind.
