Product Details

The Sierra 118-99455 is a replacement timer base designed for 3-cylinder Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines. The timer base (also known as a trigger assembly) is a critical ignition system component that signals the power pack to fire the ignition coils at precisely the correct timing interval for each cylinder, ensuring proper engine operation and performance.

Sierra International is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket marine engine parts, producing components engineered to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. This timer base is designed as a direct OEM-replacement part, offering a reliable and cost-effective alternative to factory Johnson/Evinrude components.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for Johnson and Evinrude 3-cylinder outboard engines
  • Engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications
  • Precision-manufactured for accurate ignition timing
  • Restores proper spark advance and engine performance
  • Drop-in fit for straightforward installation

This timer base is an essential component when diagnosing ignition failure, misfires, or no-start conditions on compatible 3-cylinder Johnson/Evinrude outboards. Always verify compatibility with your specific engine model and serial number before installation.
