Marine Fasteners RP-1269 5/16 x 1-1/2 in Hex Lag Screw 18-8 Stainless Steel 25-Pack

The Marine Fasteners RP-1269 is a 5/16 in x 1-1/2 in hex head lag screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel, sold in a convenient 25-piece pack. Designed for demanding marine, coastal, and outdoor environments, these lag screws deliver reliable holding power with superior corrosion resistance where standard fasteners would quickly fail.

Key Features:

• Material: 18-8 (Type 304) stainless steel — 18% chromium, 8% nickel composition for excellent corrosion resistance
• Size: 5/16 in diameter x 1-1/2 in length
• Head Type: Hex head for high-torque installation with a wrench, socket, or impact driver
• Thread Type: Coarse, aggressive wood-gripping threads with a pointed tip for secure wood penetration
• Pack Quantity: 25 pieces per bag
• Accepted for use with ACQ pressure-treated lumber
• Resistant to rust, oxidation, and saltwater corrosion

Installation Notes:

• Pre-drill a pilot hole to prevent wood splitting and ease installation
• Drive with a 1/2 in wrench or socket
• Use stainless steel washers to avoid galvanic corrosion
• Apply anti-seize lubricant to reduce thread galling during installation

Ideal for marine construction, boat building, docks, piers, boardwalks, coastal decking, and any outdoor wood application where long-term corrosion resistance is critical. The 25-piece pack makes this a practical choice for projects requiring multiple fasteners.
