Engineered Marine Products 93-04628 Aluminum Anode Kit

The Engineered Marine Products (EMP) 93-04628 Aluminum Anode Kit is a sacrificial anode kit engineered to protect marine outboard and sterndrive components from galvanic corrosion. Manufactured to Mil-Spec A-24779(SH) standards, this kit delivers reliable corrosion protection in saltwater and brackish water environments.

Sacrificial anodes work by offering a more electrochemically active metal surface that corrodes preferentially, shielding your engine's lower unit, drive components, and hardware from costly galvanic damage. Aluminum anode material is ideally suited for use in saltwater and brackish water, offering excellent electrochemical activity and long service life compared to traditional zinc anodes.

Key Features:

• Aluminum construction conforms to Mil-Spec A-24779(SH) military specification
• Provides superior galvanic corrosion protection for outboard and sterndrive components
• Aluminum alloy formulation optimized for saltwater and brackish water use
• Complete kit includes all necessary anode components for a full replacement service
• Manufactured by Engineered Marine Products (EMP), a trusted aftermarket marine parts supplier
• Direct replacement for OEM anodes — no modifications required

EMP anode kits are recommended for replacement when the anode has deteriorated to approximately 50% of its original size. Regular inspection and timely replacement ensures continuous protection of your outboard motor's lower unit and associated metal components.
