The Wichard 7008W is a two-leg, offshore-grade safety tether designed to keep crew members safely attached to the vessel during offshore and ocean racing. Built to meet World Sailing (ISAF) Offshore Special Regulations (OSR), this tether combines an elastic leg with a fixed leg and three attachment hooks for maximum versatility and continuous clip-in capability.

The harness end features a forged 316L stainless steel quick-opening snap shackle that can be released under load in emergency situations — such as man overboard, capsizing, or entanglement — yet is designed to prevent accidental opening. Two fluorescent double-action safety hooks require simultaneous pressing of both the gate and the colored lever to open, providing a critical safeguard against unintended release.
