Product Details

The Wichard 1223W is a self-locking twisted shackle forged from Grade 316L stainless steel, engineered for dependable performance in demanding marine and rigging applications. The twisted bow design provides excellent load distribution and reduces the risk of snagging on lines and hardware.

Key Features:

  • Self-locking pin mechanism — the pin locks securely into one of the body indentations, preventing accidental opening under load or vibration
  • Forged Grade 316L stainless steel construction for superior corrosion resistance in saltwater environments
  • Twisted bow design for improved load alignment and reduced snagging
  • 6mm (1/4") pin diameter for use in light-to-medium rigging, sailing, and hardware attachment applications
  • No tools required for operation — opens and closes by hand while maintaining a secure lock
  • Smooth, polished finish typical of Wichard's premium marine-grade hardware

The Wichard 1223W self-locking twisted shackle is ideal for sailors, riggers, and marine professionals who need a reliable, quick-release connection that won't work loose. Its compact 6mm size makes it well-suited for blocks, travelers, control lines, and general deck hardware. Wichard's self-locking shackles are a trusted choice across offshore racing and cruising applications worldwide.
