Wichard 1225W Self-Locking Twisted Shackle 10mm 13/32" 316L Stainless Steel

The Wichard 1225W is a self-locking twisted shackle forged from grade 316L stainless steel, purpose-built for marine and industrial applications where a 90° angle twist connection is required. The twisted body design allows two attachment points to be joined perpendicularly without introducing torque into the rigging system.

Wichard's patented self-locking pin mechanism engages into precision-machined indentations in the shackle body, significantly reducing the risk of accidental opening due to vibration or cyclic loading — a critical safety feature in demanding sailing and offshore environments.

Key Features:

• Grade 316L stainless steel construction for outstanding corrosion resistance in saltwater environments
• Hot drop-forged process provides superior strength and manufacturing consistency
• Self-locking pin locks into indentations to prevent loosening from vibration
• 90° twisted body design ideal for connecting unarticulated components such as blocks on a rail or purchase systems
• Outstanding working and breaking load ratings suitable for demanding applications
• CE marked in accordance with the Machines Directive 2006/42, qualifying for use in lifting applications
• 10mm (13/32") pin diameter

The Wichard 1225W is an ideal choice for sailors, riggers, and marine professionals who require a reliable, snag-free connection at a right angle twist. Its robust stainless steel construction and proven locking system make it a trusted component for both performance sailing and commercial marine use.
