Product Details

The Wichard 1424W is a captive pin twisted shackle forged from Grade 316L stainless steel, designed for demanding marine and rigging applications. The twisted bow design allows for multi-directional load orientation, making it an ideal choice where inline alignment isn't always possible.

Key Features:

  • Captive Pin Design: The pin remains permanently connected to the shackle body at all times — even when fully opened — preventing accidental loss overboard or during installation
  • Forged Grade 316L Stainless Steel: Offers superior corrosion resistance in saltwater and harsh marine environments
  • Twisted Bow: Allows the shackle to accept loads from multiple directions, ideal for rigging, block attachments, and sheet connections
  • Pin Diameter: 8mm (5/16")
  • Complies with Wichard's high standards for marine-grade hardware used in sailing, racing, and offshore rigging

The Wichard 1424W is a trusted component among sailors and riggers who require reliable, secure connections. Its captive pin eliminates the risk of losing the pin during rigging changes, making it a smart choice for offshore or short-handed sailing applications.

Received ahead of schedule. Beautiful product! Perfect fit as well. Thank you.

THMotorsports always has the lowest prices and shipping. Just completed my second order with them and will continue to purchase from them. Shipping on first order was quick and left their building the day after ordering.

Everything went well. We’ll see how shipping goes.

All good

Well-designed website and search, prices and checkout experience was nice.

Great service. Fast delivery

I would like to rate 5 stars. However item description doesn't contain 3 year old manufacture date.
