Wichard 2328W Asymmetric Carbine Hook with Eye 170mm (15/32") 316L Stainless Steel

The Wichard 2328W Asymmetric Carbine Hook is a premium marine-grade snap hook designed for demanding on-deck and rigging applications. At 170mm (15/32") in length, this large-format carabiner features an asymmetric body profile that directs loading to the stronger, non-gate side of the hook — significantly increasing overall load capacity compared to a standard symmetric design. The integrated eye allows for direct webbing or strap attachment, making it well-suited for use in safety tethers, jackline systems, and fastening applications aboard sail and powerboats.

Key Features:

• Constructed from hot-forged Grade 316L stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance in marine and coastal environments
• Asymmetric shape concentrates load on the non-gate side for higher working and breaking loads
• Integrated eye for direct webbing or strap attachment
• Hot-forged and passivated construction eliminates internal structural defects and provides superior oxidation resistance
• Smooth, rounded edges with no snagging points — safe for harness tether applications
• ISO 9001 certified manufacturing with documented quality standards
• Backed by Wichard's 5-year warranty
• Registered design, manufactured in France

Wichard carbine hooks are engineered to perform in the harshest conditions at sea. The SWL (Safe Working Load) represents the maximum static load without deformation, while the BL (Breaking Load) is the static load at which total failure occurs. Note: SWL ratings apply to nautical applications and should not be confused with industrial lifting WLL (Working Load Limit) ratings.
