Wichard 29944W Chain Grip for 8mm / 5/16" Chain - 85mm (3-11/32")

The Wichard 29944W Chain Grip is a precision-engineered marine anchoring accessory designed specifically for 8mm (5/16") chain. With a compact body length of 85mm (3-11/32"), this chain grip provides a secure, reliable hold on your anchor chain, making anchoring operations safer and more manageable aboard any vessel.

Wichard chain grips work by gripping the anchor chain under load, allowing the crew to ease tension from the windlass or cleats and transfer the holding load directly to a mooring cleat or samson post via a snubber line. This protects both the windlass and the deck hardware from the shock loads generated by wave action and wind, significantly extending their service life.

Key Features:

• Specifically designed for 8mm / 5/16" anchor chain
• Eases tension on the anchor chain for safe, stress-free anchoring
