Suburban Mfg 523002 Two-Stage Propane Regulator Horizontal Vent Kit for RV

The Suburban Mfg 523002 is a horizontal vent, two-stage combination propane regulator designed to control the flow of LP gas to all RV appliances. As a true combination regulator, it integrates both the high-pressure first stage and the low-pressure second stage into a single compact unit — eliminating the need for separate regulators.

Key Features:

• Two-stage combination design: First stage reduces cylinder outlet pressure to 10 psi; second stage maintains a stable working pressure of 11" water column
• Horizontal vent orientation for flexible mounting in RV LP compartments
• 160,000 BTU/hour capacity — sufficient for powering multiple RV appliances simultaneously
• Inlet: 1/4" female pipe thread (FPT)
• Outlet: 3/8" female pipe thread (FPT)
• Overpressure Protection Device (OPD): Automatically shuts off gas flow if regulator outlet pressure exceeds safe limits, limiting environmental propane release to less than 2 psi — well below UL Standard 144 requirements
• UL listed for safety and compliance
• Kit includes plastic vent covers as required by RVIA standards

The Suburban 523002 is a reliable, code-compliant LP gas regulator built for recreational vehicles. Its RVIA-approved vent cover kit and UL listing make it a drop-in solution for RV propane system replacements or new installations.
