Attwood Marine

About Attwood Marine

Attwood Marine has been a cornerstone of the boating world for well over a century. Founded in 1893, the company began by manufacturing precision underwater hardware and on-deck fittings — rudders, struts, cleats, and lights — and quickly earned a reputation for fine engineering and enduring quality. After World War I, the brand's craftsmanship was so well regarded that legendary boatbuilder Chris-Craft turned to Attwood for brass fittings on their iconic pleasure boats.

Today, Attwood operates as part of the Navico Group by Brunswick, a global family of industry-leading marine companies, yet it has never lost the boater-first focus that built its name. What distinguishes Attwood from many competitors is their end-to-end philosophy: they design, manufacture, test, and distribute their own products rather than simply sourcing components from third parties. Every item in the Attwood catalog is rigorously tested to meet or exceed U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), and CE standards — giving boaters and OEM manufacturers alike the confidence to rely on Attwood gear season after season.

A Complete Marine Accessories Ecosystem

Attwood's catalog spans an impressively broad range of marine needs. On the comfort and ergonomics side, their Seat & Pedestal Packages deliver complete, ready-to-install seating system solutions backed by decades of engineering refinement. For boaters who prefer to build or customize their setup, Attwood's Fixed Mount Pedestals provide a sturdy, reliable foundation engineered for lasting stability on the water.

When it comes to protecting your hull at the dock, Attwood's Fenders offer dependable, marine-grade cushioning against docks, pilings, and other vessels — an often-overlooked but essential piece of gear for every boat owner. Getting on and off the boat safely is equally important, and Attwood's Boarding Ladders are designed with heavy-duty construction, rated hardware, and user-friendly features to make every entry and exit as secure as possible.

Beyond these categories, Attwood is also widely recognized for its bilge and aerator pumps, navigation lighting, fuel systems, rod holders, and trailering accessories — making the brand a true one-stop resource for outfitting or refreshing virtually any powerboat, fishing boat, or recreational vessel.

Why Boaters Choose Attwood

100+ Years of Proven Experience — A heritage of quality engineering stretching back to 1893.

Multi-Standard Compliance — Products tested to USCG, ABYC, and CE standards for safety and performance.

OEM-Trusted — A leading supplier to major boat manufacturers across a wide range of product categories.

Corrosion-Resistant Materials — Extensive use of 304 and 316 stainless steel, chrome-plated zinc, and marine-grade synthetics built for harsh saltwater environments.

In-House Engineering — Advanced prototyping, simulation, and real-world testing ensure reliability before any product reaches the water.

Product Details

The Attwood 19700 Compact EEZ-IN II Transom Ladder is a 3-step, built-in transom boarding ladder engineered for easy water access with minimal visual footprint. Designed to store completely within the hull or transom, only a slim 5" x 4.5" faceplate is visible when the ladder is stowed — keeping your boat's stern clean and uncluttered.

The ladder body is constructed from high-tensile anodized aluminum with a 2" square channel profile, providing exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and light weight. When deployed, the ladder extends at a 15° angle for comfortable, natural climbing. Installation is designed for boats with a 13° angled transom, mounted 4" above the waterline, and requires a 3" through-hull hole. A 35" storage tube is included for routing inside the boat.

Key Features:

 • 3-step compact transom ladder — completely stows inside transom or hull compartments
 • Only a sleek 5" H x 4.5" W x 1" D transom plate is visible when stowed
 • Quick-release ring with self-locking latch for one-hand deployment
 • 2" square channel anodized aluminum body for strength and corrosion resistance
 • Deploys at 15° angle for easier boarding
 • Installs 4" above waterline on 13° angled transoms
 • Requires 3" mounting hole; includes 35" interior storage tube
 • Overall deployed length: 32.5"

The Attwood 19700 is ideal for boaters who want a fully integrated, out-of-sight boarding solution that deploys quickly when needed and disappears when not in use.
