Marine Plus 826134T Side Pocket Aluminum Anode for Mercury Mariner Outboards

The Marine Plus 826134T is a side pocket aluminum anode designed to protect Mercury, Mariner, and Force outboard motors from the damaging effects of galvanic corrosion. This sacrificial anode installs in the side pockets on the gear housing just above the cavitation plate, where it absorbs corrosive electrochemical reactions that would otherwise attack critical metal components of your outboard's lower unit.

Key Features:

• Cast aluminum construction meets or exceeds MIL-A-24779(SH) military specifications for superior corrosion protection
• Compatible with both saltwater and freshwater applications, offering longer service life than traditional zinc anodes
• Side pocket design fits snugly above the trim tab and anti-ventilation plate for optimal water flow and protection
• Direct replacement for OEM part numbers 826134T, 97-826134T, and 826134Q
• Easy installation with basic hand tools—no modifications required

Compatibility:

• Mercury and Mariner 30-300 HP outboards
• Mercury/Mariner 30-60 HP four-stroke models with 2.31 and 2.33 gear ratio housings
• Mercury/Mariner 75-125 HP four-stroke and V-6 models
• Force 90 HP and 120 HP outboards (1995 and newer)

Regular inspection and replacement of your outboard anode is essential preventive maintenance. Replace the anode when approximately half of the material has been consumed to ensure continuous protection against electrolysis and extend the service life of your outboard motor. This single anode is priced individually and should be inspected at least twice per boating season.
