Manufacturer

Marine Plus

About Marine Plus

Marine Plus specializes in automotive components engineered specifically for marine and watercraft applications, where durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions are paramount. Operating in a specialized niche of the automotive aftermarket, this brand focuses on delivering parts that can withstand the unique challenges posed by saltwater exposure, humidity, and the demanding conditions found in marine environments.

Engineering for Aquatic Environments

The marine automotive sector requires components that go beyond standard specifications. Parts must resist corrosion from salt spray, maintain performance in high-humidity conditions, and deliver reliable operation even when exposed to constant moisture and temperature fluctuations. Marine Plus addresses these challenges by focusing on materials and manufacturing processes designed to extend component life in these demanding applications.

Specialized Applications

Marine automotive components serve a variety of watercraft and amphibious vehicles, from boat trailers and marine towing equipment to specialized utility vehicles used in coastal areas and maritime facilities. These applications demand parts that meet higher standards for weather resistance and environmental protection than typical automotive use cases require.

Quality and Reliability Standards

When selecting parts for marine automotive applications, consideration must be given to coating quality, seal integrity, and material composition. Components need protective finishes that prevent rust and oxidation, while gaskets and seals must maintain their integrity despite exposure to moisture and marine atmospheres. Marine Plus develops products with these critical factors in mind, serving enthusiasts and professionals who operate vehicles in challenging coastal and aquatic environments.

The Marine Automotive Market

The intersection of automotive and marine technology represents a growing segment where specialized knowledge and purpose-built components make the difference between reliable performance and premature failure. Whether supporting recreational boating activities, commercial marine operations, or coastal vehicle maintenance, dedicated marine-grade automotive parts provide the durability and longevity that these applications demand.

Product Details

The Marine Plus 826134T is a side pocket aluminum anode designed to protect Mercury, Mariner, and Force outboard motors from the damaging effects of galvanic corrosion. This sacrificial anode installs in the side pockets on the gear housing just above the cavitation plate, where it absorbs corrosive electrochemical reactions that would otherwise attack critical metal components of your outboard's lower unit.

Key Features:

 • Cast aluminum construction meets or exceeds MIL-A-24779(SH) military specifications for superior corrosion protection
 • Compatible with both saltwater and freshwater applications, offering longer service life than traditional zinc anodes
 • Side pocket design fits snugly above the trim tab and anti-ventilation plate for optimal water flow and protection
 • Direct replacement for OEM part numbers 826134T, 97-826134T, and 826134Q
 • Easy installation with basic hand tools—no modifications required

Compatibility:

 • Mercury and Mariner 30-300 HP outboards
 • Mercury/Mariner 30-60 HP four-stroke models with 2.31 and 2.33 gear ratio housings
 • Mercury/Mariner 75-125 HP four-stroke and V-6 models
 • Force 90 HP and 120 HP outboards (1995 and newer)

Regular inspection and replacement of your outboard anode is essential preventive maintenance. Replace the anode when approximately half of the material has been consumed to ensure continuous protection against electrolysis and extend the service life of your outboard motor. This single anode is priced individually and should be inspected at least twice per boating season.
