SeaStar Solutions SSC21923-1 23 ft. Jet Boat Steering Cable JBS

The SeaStar Solutions SSC21923-1 is a 23-foot Jet Boat Steering (JBS) cable engineered exclusively for jet boat applications. Designed as a direct single-cable replacement, it delivers the precise, responsive steering performance that jet boat operators demand. SeaStar Solutions, formerly Teleflex Marine, has long set the standard in marine mechanical steering, and this cable reflects that legacy of quality construction and rigorous testing.

Built for use with Mercury Sport Jet and OMC Turbo Jet drives up to 175 HP, this cable is compatible with SeaStar Solutions jet boat steering helms including SH5087P, SH5088P, SH91691P, SH91692P, SH91678P, and SH91679P. It meets ABYC P-23 specifications for marine steering systems.

Key Features:

• 23-foot length — sized for larger jet boat applications requiring extended cable runs
• HDPE outer jacket — high-density polyethylene construction provides excellent abrasion resistance and strong resistance to water penetration
• Stainless steel output ends — corrosion-resistant terminals for long-term durability in saltwater and freshwater environments
• Tightly controlled core-to-conduit fit — minimizes slop and delivers precise, direct steering response
• Exceeds ABYC safety standards — meets ISO/IMCI/NMMA certification requirements
• Environmentally tested — validated for demanding marine conditions
• Made, designed, and assembled in the USA
• 2-year limited warranty against manufacturer defects for recreational users

When replacing a JBS steering cable, measure tip-to-tip on the existing cable and round up to the next whole foot to confirm the correct length. The part number is also stamped on the plastic jacket of the original cable for easy reference. Replaces SSC229XX series cables.
