Vetus ZINK15C Hull Anode Type 15 Zinc Rectangular Cathodic Protection

The Vetus ZINK15C is a Type 15 rectangular zinc hull anode designed to provide cathodic protection for underwater metal components on saltwater and brackish water vessels. Zinc anodes are the recommended choice for marine environments where corrosion protection is critical to the longevity of any boat's submerged hardware.

Cathodic protection through sacrificial anodes is essential for all underwater metal parts — not just steel hulls. Wooden, fiberglass, and aluminum hulls all require anodes to protect through-hull fittings, shafts, rudders, and other metal components from galvanic corrosion.

Key Features:

• Zinc alloy construction meets U.S. Military Specification Mil-A-18001K — the highest standard for marine zinc anodes
• Rectangular (Type 15) streamlined profile minimizes drag when mounted to the hull
• Compatible with steel hulls using weld-on studs, or fiberglass and wooden hulls using through-hull bolts
• Anode dimensions: 150mm × 60mm × 25mm (approx. 5.9" × 2.4" × 1")
• Hole centers: 80mm (approx. 3.15")
• Anode weight: 0.95 kg (approx. 2.1 lbs)
• Connection kit sold separately

Vetus zinc anodes are engineered to meet strict military-grade alloy specifications. Anodes that fall short of these standards offer little to no effective protection. For freshwater or inland use, consider Vetus aluminum anodes as an alternative.
