CURT 16564 S20 5th Wheel Slider 20000 lb for Short-Bed Trucks

The CURT S20 5th Wheel Slider (16564) is a purpose-built sliding hitch mechanism designed to enable safe and comfortable 5th wheel towing with short-bed pickup trucks. Its quiet, solid construction eliminates the chucking and rattling common in the towing position, delivering a smoother, more enjoyable ride.

The S20 slider shifts the 5th wheel coupling point 12 inches rearward, providing the extra clearance needed for short-bed trucks to complete turns without cab-to-trailer contact. The unit mounts to all industry-standard 5th wheel base rails as well as CURT puck system adapters, making it highly versatile across a wide range of truck bed configurations.

Key Features:

• 20,000-lb. gross trailer weight rating — tested to SAE J2638 safety standards
• 12" rearward travel — provides critical turning clearance for short-bed trucks
• Auto-latching mechanism — locks automatically in both directions, reducing the need to exit the truck multiple times during hookup
• Ergonomic lift-style lever — accessible over the side of the truck bed wall; more user-friendly than traditional pull-out designs
• No-bind smooth rolling — solid design promotes fluid movement between forward and rearward positions
• Universal rail compatibility — mounts to all industry-standard 5th wheel rails and CURT puck system adapters
• Carbide black powder coat finish — highly durable corrosion-resistant exterior
• Carbon steel construction — built for long-lasting strength and reliability
• Fully assembled — arrives ready to install with no drilling required

Note: Slider unit only. 5th wheel hitch head and base rails are sold separately. Not compatible with X5 adapters.
