The CMP CME2S is a zinc pencil anode with plug designed to protect marine engine cooling systems from galvanic corrosion in saltwater environments. Pencil anodes like this one are installed directly into the engine block or heat exchanger, sacrificing themselves to protect more valuable metal components from electrolytic damage.
