CMP CME5 Zinc Pencil Anode with Plug 3/4 NPT x 3-5/8 In Saltwater Engine Cooling

The CMP CME5 is a zinc pencil anode with plug designed to protect marine engine cooling systems from galvanic corrosion in saltwater environments. Pencil anodes are a critical part of any saltwater vessel's corrosion protection strategy, sacrificing themselves to protect more valuable metal engine components such as heat exchangers, cylinder liners, and cooling passages.

This anode features a 3/4 inch NPT threaded plug, making it easy to install directly into standard threaded ports in the engine block or cooling system without the need for additional fittings. The 3/4 inch outside diameter and 3-5/8 inch length provide ample sacrificial zinc material for effective and long-lasting protection between service intervals.

Key Features:

• Material: High-purity zinc for optimal galvanic protection in saltwater
• Thread Size: 3/4 inch NPT plug for direct installation
• Dimensions: 3/4 inch outside diameter x 3-5/8 inch length
• Application: Engine cooling system protection
• Environment: Saltwater use only — do not use in freshwater or brackish water
• Includes plug for secure, leak-free installation

Important: This zinc anode is formulated and rated for saltwater use only. For freshwater applications, aluminum or magnesium anodes are recommended. Inspect and replace pencil anodes regularly as part of routine engine maintenance to ensure continuous corrosion protection.
