The CMP Martyr CMZ03AA is a semi-streamlined aluminum hull anode with an aluminum weld-on strap, engineered for professional-grade cathodic protection on commercial and pleasure craft hulls. Designed to safeguard underwater metal components from galvanic corrosion, this anode is the preferred choice for vessels operating in salt and brackish water environments.
Aluminum anodes outperform zinc in saltwater and are especially superior in brackish water, where zinc can passivate and lose effectiveness entirely. Unlike zinc, aluminum anodes are cadmium-free, making them an environmentally responsible choice. The aluminum strap is welded directly to the hull, creating a reliable electrical bond that ensures maximum protective efficiency throughout the anode's service life.
