Dethmers Mfg Co 6526 Demco Recon Stealth Folding Base for Fifth Wheel Hitch

The Demco Recon Stealth Folding Base (6526) is the patent-pending folding base assembly at the heart of the industry's first foldable gooseball-mounted fifth-wheel hitch system. Engineered by Dethmers Manufacturing (Demco), this folding base is the key innovation that allows truck owners and RVers to reclaim their truck bed without the need to physically lift a heavy hitch in and out.

The folding base collapses into a compact, manageable package with a single motion — no heavy lifting, no full disassembly required. When folded, the base frees up the truck bed for hauling gear, supplies, or cargo. When it's time to tow, the base sets up quickly using only a torque wrench and two sockets, converting the hitch from stored to tow-ready in minutes.

Key Features:

• Patent-pending folding design collapses with a single motion to free truck bed space
• Compatible with 4-inch and 5-inch tall 2-5/16" gooseballs
• Three height adjustment positions for versatile setup
• Universal fitment for OEM fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep packages and aftermarket gooseneck hitches
• Durable steel construction built for demanding towing environments
• Lightweight and manageable — can be stored in a truck bed, RV cargo compartment, or on a garage shelf
• Shares the same proven Recon gooseball-mounted attachment system as the standard Recon Gooseball hitch
• Compatible with the optional Demco bulkhead-mounted MOLLE Rack for dedicated in-bed storage
• American-made quality from Dethmers Manufacturing (Demco)

The Recon Stealth Folding Base is part of Demco's three-piece steel system, designed to bridge the gap between conventional fifth-wheel hitches and lightweight alternatives — delivering full towing strength without sacrificing everyday truck bed utility.
