Dometic 9630001955 SmartStart Soft Starter Accessory for FreshJet 5 Mechanical RV Air Conditioners

The Dometic SmartStart (9630001955) is a soft starter accessory engineered specifically for Dometic FreshJet 5 mechanical model rooftop air conditioners. By managing the compressor's startup sequence, this device reduces AC start-up power demand by as much as 75%, dramatically lowering the electrical load spike that occurs every time your air conditioner kicks on.

With SmartStart installed, your FreshJet 5 AC can operate on a generator or solar power inverter as small as 2,000 watts without faulting — making it an ideal upgrade for boondocking, dry camping, and off-grid travel. It also enables the ability to run two air conditioners off a single 30-amp service, provided no other appliances are running simultaneously.
