Dometic 9610002999 SmartStart III Marine A/C Soft Starter for GT10/GT16 Units

The Dometic SmartStart III (Part# 9610002999) is a marine-grade soft starter accessory engineered to protect your boat's air conditioning system by dramatically reducing compressor startup power spikes. Designed for compatibility with Dometic GT10 and GT16 self-contained marine air conditioners, this device ensures smooth, reliable A/C startups even on vessels with limited or lower-quality shore power electrical systems.

Key Features:

• Reduces startup amps by up to 65% — significantly lowers inrush current during compressor startup
• IP65-rated water-resistant enclosure — built to withstand the demanding marine environment
• 16A maximum FLA rating — compatible with GT10 and GT16 series marine A/C units (30–85 kBTU/h range)
• Prevents nuisance power outages — enables problem-free A/C startup at marina berths with lower-quality electrical circuit protection
• Protects onboard electronics — eliminates damaging voltage spikes that can harm inverters and other sensitive equipment
• Compact, space-saving design — mounts directly at or near the A/C unit for optimal performance
• Genuine OEM Dometic component — engineered specifically for Dometic marine air conditioning systems

The SmartStart III is an essential upgrade for any vessel relying on marina shore power, a generator, or a battery inverter to power the air conditioning system. By smoothing the compressor startup sequence, it reduces strain on your boat's electrical infrastructure and extends the life of the A/C compressor. OEM Part Number: 9610002999.
