Seachoice C5ECC0-16-00300 8-Plait Anchor Rode 1/2" x 300' Rope with 1/4" x 15' Chain

The Seachoice C5ECC0-16-00300 8-Plait Anchor Rode delivers a complete, ready-to-deploy anchoring solution combining a 1/2" x 300' 8-plait nylon rope with a 1/4" x 15' G4 high-test galvanized chain, hand spliced in the USA. This anchor rode is engineered for smooth, reliable operation in a windlass and is ideal for boaters who demand dependable holding power and easy stowage.

The 8-plait nylon construction offers a key advantage over traditional 3-strand rope — the multi-strand woven lay allows the rode to coil more compactly in the anchor locker, maximizing available storage space while maintaining comparable tensile strength. The 8-plait design also absorbs higher shock loads more effectively, reducing stress on your cleats, windlass, and anchor system during wave action or sudden load changes.

The G4 high-test galvanized chain leader provides the critical catenary weight needed to keep the anchor lying flat on the seabed for optimal set, while the hand-spliced connection between rope and chain ensures a smooth transition through the windlass without snagging or jamming.
