CMP CMX02AL Streamlined Aluminum Shaft Anode CMX-2 7/8" ID Salt & Brackish Water

The CMP Martyr CMX02AL is a streamlined aluminum sacrificial shaft anode designed for cathodic corrosion protection in salt and brackish water environments. Engineered to protect propeller shafts and rudders from galvanic corrosion, this collar-style anode mounts directly onto the drive shaft using a two-piece interlocking design secured with stainless steel hardware.

Key Features:

• Aluminum alloy construction — more efficient than zinc anodes in salt and brackish water applications
• Interlocking halves — split-collar design ensures a secure, tight fit around the shaft
• 100% circular inner bore — ensures even contact and a consistent fit on the shaft surface
• Extra alloy around fastener points — increased material mass near hardware extends anode service life
• Stainless steel Allen screw hardware included for installation
• Meets or exceeds US Military Specification Mil-A-24779 SH
• Pressure die-cast and manufactured under an ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Specifications:

• Inner Diameter (ID): 7/8" (22.2 mm)
• Outer Diameter (OD): 2.12" (53.9 mm)
• Height / Length: 2.08" (52.8 mm)
• Material: Aluminum alloy
• For use in: Salt water and brackish water only — not recommended for fresh water use

Also known as a shaft collar anode or prop shaft zinc, the CMX02AL is the aluminum variant of the popular CMX-2 series. Cross-reference part numbers include: X-2-AL, X2AL, X02AL, AMD-X2, SL-0875-ALU, and C0875A. This anode is part of the Martyr Anodes line manufactured by CMP Group (Canada Metal Pacific).
