Pettit Paint 1551008 Ikonikolor PRO Epoxy Primer Activator Quart

The Pettit Paint 1551008 Ikonikolor PRO Epoxy Primer Activator is the dedicated Part B hardener component for the Ikonikolor PRO two-part epoxy primer system. This quart-size activator is combined with the Ikonikolor PRO 550 Epoxy Primer base to create a high-performance, chemically-cured epoxy primer formulated for marine topside and interior applications.

When mixed with the compatible base, this activator initiates a chemical cure that delivers superior adhesion, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection across a wide range of marine substrates. The fully cured two-part system seals undercoats and fillers, creating a non-porous barrier surface ready for Ikonikolor topcoat application.

Key Features:

• Part B activator/hardener for the Ikonikolor PRO two-component epoxy primer system
• Provides superior adhesion to fiberglass/gelcoat, wood, properly etched or primed metal, and previously painted 2-part paint surfaces
• Delivers excellent chemical and corrosion resistance once cured
• Seals porous undercoats and fillers prior to topcoat application
• Promotes excellent sanding qualities for a smooth, prepared surface
• Suitable for both interior and exterior marine applications
• Sold as a quart — must be paired with Ikonikolor PRO 550 Epoxy Primer base

The Pettit Ikonikolor PRO system is engineered for professional-grade results on pleasure and commercial vessels. Always mix activator and base at the manufacturer-specified ratio and follow the product data sheet for pot life, application temperature, and overcoat windows.
