Sierra Powerhead Base Gasket for Mercury/Mariner Outboard Engines

The Sierra powerhead base gasket is a replacement engine gasket for Mercury and Mariner outboard motors. It seals the joint between the powerhead (engine block) and the adapter plate or exhaust housing. This helps keep exhaust gases, water and oil in their proper passages. Sierra offers this product line in several variants, so you can choose the one that matches your engine.

Key Features:

• Aftermarket replacement gasket for Mercury and Mariner outboard powerheads
• Seals the powerhead base against leaks during engine operation
• Made for marine use, including exposure to heat, moisture and vibration
• Useful for powerhead rebuilds, overhauls and routine gasket replacement
• Sierra is a long-established name in marine engine replacement parts

Installing a new base gasket whenever the powerhead is removed helps protect against leaks and keeps the engine running reliably. Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly before installation.
