3M Perfect-It EX Rubbing Compound

3M Perfect-It EX Rubbing Compound is a heavy-duty automotive paint rubbing compound (also called a cutting compound) made for fast removal of sanding scratches and other paint defects. It is designed for professional body shops and serious detailers who want efficient cutting and a smooth finish that is ready for polishing.

Key Features:

• Fast-cutting formula removes sanding marks, such as those left by P1000 and finer grit sandpaper, and other surface defects
• Works with wool pads and foam pads on a rotary or random orbital polisher
• Helps restore gloss and clarity to cured automotive paint and clearcoat finishes
• Low-dusting, easy-to-clean-up formula helps reduce mess in the work area
• Silicone-free formulation helps prevent contamination issues when refinishing
• Part of the 3M Perfect-It paint finishing system, which pairs with 3M polishes and glazes for a complete compounding, polishing and finishing process

Backed by 3M's reputation in abrasives and paint finishing, Perfect-It EX Rubbing Compound gives consistent, repeatable results. It is a dependable first step in the paint correction process before finer polishing for a high-gloss finish.
