Seachoice Type IV Throwable Flotation Cushion

The Seachoice Type IV throwable flotation cushion (also called a throw cushion, boat cushion or foam flotation cushion) does two jobs on the water. It is a comfortable boat seat. It is also a U.S. Coast Guard approved Type IV throwable flotation device for overboard emergencies.

Key Features:

• USCG approved Type IV device: Designed to be thrown to a person in the water. It is a required throwable flotation device on boats 16 ft. and longer.
• PE foam filling: Provides buoyancy for flotation support and comfortable seating.
• Durable nylon outer shell: Resists abrasion and stands up to everyday boating use and repeated handling.
• Grab straps: Webbing straps make the cushion easy to grab and throw. They also work as carry handles.
• Dual-purpose design: Use it as a seat cushion on fiberglass or hardwood surfaces in boats, canoes, fishing boats and other watercraft.

A Type IV throwable device is not meant to be worn like a vest. It does not replace the life jackets required for passengers. Seachoice is a marine accessories brand serving boating, fishing and watersports enthusiasts. These cushions add a practical layer of onboard safety.
