Engineered Marine Products Distributor Cap for MerCruiser Thunderbolt HEI

The Engineered Marine Products distributor cap is a replacement ignition part for MerCruiser GM-based and MIE marine engines with a Thunderbolt HEI (High Energy Ignition) system. The distributor cap routes high-voltage spark from the coil to each spark plug wire in firing order. It is a wear item, so replacing it on schedule helps keep the ignition system reliable.

Key Features:

• Aftermarket replacement distributor cap for MerCruiser engines with Thunderbolt HEI ignition
• Replaces the original Mercury/Quicksilver distributor cap
• Restores spark distribution for smooth starting, steady idle, and consistent running
• Offered in a product line that covers different MerCruiser engine configurations
• Made by Engineered Marine Products, a supplier of marine replacement engine parts

Marine ignition parts work in a harsh environment with moisture, heat, and vibration. A worn, cracked, or corroded cap can cause misfires, hard starting, rough running, and lost power. Replacing the cap during a tune-up helps keep your MerCruiser engine running dependably. Choose the correct item in this product line for your engine.
