Solas Rubex Interchangeable Hub Kit

The Solas Rubex Interchangeable Hub Kit (RBX hub kit) is the rubber hub system for Solas Rubex aluminum and stainless steel boat propellers. It reduces hub chatter and vibration. It also softens shifting and helps protect the propshaft and lower unit when the propeller hits something underwater. A hub kit is required to install a Rubex propeller. Hub kits are sold separately from the propeller.

Key Features:

• Rubber construction: There are no plastic parts to deteriorate over time.
• Vibration control: The hub seats in the propeller hub cavity to reduce chatter and vibration.
• Impact protection: About 10° of deflection reduces banging when shifting gears or striking a submerged object.
• Secure fit: The hub will not spin inside the propeller.
• Reusable: The hub can be reused if the propeller blade is damaged and replaced.
• One-piece design: Rubber is combined with splines for the propshaft, which are anodized aluminum on most kits and bronze on some.
• Interchangeable: One propeller can be matched to different engines and drives by changing the hub kit.
• Hardware: Installation hardware and instructions come with the kit, as documented for the RBX line.

Solas Rubex hub kits are made for outboard and sterndrive applications. Each kit is matched to a specific gearcase and spline configuration. Use the Solas RBX application chart to select the right hub kit for your engine or drive. Grease the propshaft before installation.
