AP Gas Spring Pound Force

AP Products gas springs, also called gas props, gas struts, gas stays or lift supports, hold up heavy lids, doors and hatches. They are used on RV storage compartment doors, beds, trunk lids, rear hatches and similar applications. Each spring gives smooth lift assistance. It keeps the panel propped open until you close it.

Key Features:

• Sealed pressurized-gas design that gives consistent lifting force
• Force is rated in pounds, so you can match the spring to the weight of the panel it supports
• Alloy steel construction
• Ball-socket end fittings with integrated locking clips on many models, so installation is simple
• Replaces worn or weak lift supports on RV, automotive and utility applications

Installation Tip: Support the panel before you remove the old gas spring. Install the new spring in the same orientation as the old one. Avoid scratching the rod.

Choose the force rating and length that match your original gas spring to restore reliable hold-open performance.
