Attwood Marine Gas Spring Extended Compressed Socket

Attwood Marine gas springs (also called gas struts, gas shocks, hatch lifts or lift supports) give controlled lift and hold-open support for boat hatches, lids, lockers and compartment doors. Each spring has socket end fittings that snap onto matching ball-stud mounts. This makes installation and replacement simple.

Key Features:

• Socket end fittings for ball-stud style mounting
• Filled with biodegradable, water-hazard-safe (WGK grade) oil. Attwood describes these as the marine industry's most environmentally friendly gas springs
• Built for marine use. Attwood states its springs pass ASTM B117 salt spray testing and a 30,000-cycle lifecycle test
• Offered in several extended and compressed lengths and output forces, so you can match the spring to the weight and size of your hatch
• Steady, controlled motion that holds the lid open and reduces the effort needed to lift it

Care and disposal: Gas springs are pressurized and contain oil. Do not discard them with household trash. Drain the oil and recycle it as you would motor oil, then dispose of the spring properly.

Attwood Marine is a well-known supplier of marine hardware. Each gas spring in this line is made to handle moisture and repeated use on the water.
