Whitecap Industries Black Nitride Gas Spring Hood Lift Support

Whitecap Industries Black Nitride Gas Springs (also called gas struts or lift supports) lift and hold hoods, hatches, lids and access panels. They are used on boats, docks, RVs and similar equipment. Each spring gives smooth, controlled lifting and keeps the panel open until you are ready to close it.

Key Features:

• Heavy-duty steel body: The body is coated with heat-cured black paint for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish.
• Sealed construction: An O-ring seals the unit and directs the force oil toward the orifice piston.
• Controlled motion: A precision piston assembly gives even control as the spring extends.
• End-of-travel damping: Specially formulated hydraulic fluid cushions the end of the stroke.
• Ball-socket mounting: Ball-mount end fittings make installation simple.

Whitecap Industries has supplied marine and hardware products since 1972. This line is a dependable choice for replacing worn gas springs or for adding easy-lift support to a hatch or lid.
