Whitecap Industries Gas Spring Extended Compressed Force Hatch Lift Support

Whitecap Industries gas spring hatch lift supports (also called gas struts, gas props or hatch lifts) hold boat hatches, lids and compartment covers open. They are made for marine use. Each unit has a ball socket on the upper mount and on the lower mount, so it connects to standard ball studs. The line is offered in black nitrate and stainless steel versions.

Key Features:

• Gas-charged design: Gas pressure lifts the hatch and holds it open, so you don't need a manual prop rod.
• Two construction options: Choose heavy-duty steel with a heat-cured black nitrate coating, or 316 stainless steel for more corrosion resistance.
• Secure sealing: An O-ring seals the unit and directs the oil toward the orifice piston.
• Controlled movement: Specially formulated hydraulic fluid dampens the end of travel. The piston assembly gives precise control as the spring extends.
• Ball socket mounts: The upper and lower ball socket ends connect to 10mm ball studs.
• Force and length options: The line covers a range of extended lengths, compressed lengths and force ratings to suit different hatch sizes and weights.

Whitecap Industries has supplied marine, hardware and RV products since 1972. Use these hatch lift supports on boat engine hatches, storage compartments, lockers and similar covers.
