Mirka Iridium Soft Grit Foam Sanding Disc

Mirka Iridium Soft Grit foam sanding discs are soft foam abrasives for dust-free dry sanding. They were developed for automotive OEMs and collision repair specialists. The foam-backed hook-and-loop sanding discs follow curves and contours. This makes them well suited to automotive bodywork, paint prep and pre-polishing.

Key Features:

• Three-part construction: a durable aluminum oxide abrasive surface, a flexible foam interface layer and a secure grip backing.
• Flexible foam backing: conforms to curves and contours for smooth, even sanding.
• Multifit dust extraction pattern: works with different grip backing plate hole configurations. It helps reduce clogging, pilling and swirl marks.
• Long service life: precision coating and specialized grains help the disc last on demanding surfaces.
• Fine, consistent scratch pattern: can help reduce the number of sanding steps needed for a high-quality finish.
• Comfortable to use: easy handling reduces fatigue in both machine and hand sanding.

Applications: Use for sanding and pre-polishing on primer, waterbased primer, top coat, clear coat, polyurethane, polyester and UV high-gloss finishes, and gel coat. Iridium Soft is intended for dry sanding only and should not be used wet. It is less aggressive than standard Iridium, so a slightly coarser grit may be needed to get comparable scratch removal.

Mirka Iridium Soft delivers controlled, low-dust sanding for refinishing professionals who need consistent results on both broad panels and intricate shapes.
