Martyr Anodes Streamlined Shaft Anode with Stainless Steel Allen Screw - Aluminum

The Martyr Anodes Streamlined Shaft Anode (also called a shaft zinc or sacrificial shaft anode) gives your boat's propeller shaft cathodic protection against galvanic corrosion. This aluminum version is made for use in salt and brackish water. It uses a stainless steel Allen screw for secure, low-profile mounting.

Key Features:

• Aluminum alloy construction: Sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your shaft and other underwater metals
• Two-piece interlocking halves: The halves fit together snugly and make full contact with the shaft
• Stainless steel Allen screw hardware: Holds the anode firmly in place
• Retaining and lock washers: Help keep the hardware attached so the screws are less likely to fall out during installation or later
• Streamlined profile: Reduces drag and turbulence around the shaft
• Underwater installation: Can be installed without hauling the boat out
• Alloy quality: Martyr says its alloys are kept free of impurities such as iron, which can reduce anode performance

Martyr Anodes are made by Canada Metal (Pacific) Ltd. and are a well-known name in marine corrosion protection. Replace the anode regularly, before it is fully consumed, to keep your shaft, propeller and other underwater metals protected. Each size in the line is listed as its own part number.
