Martyr Anodes Yamaha Small Block Zinc Anode

Martyr Anodes Yamaha Small Block Zinc Anodes are sacrificial anodes (also called zincs) that protect Yamaha outboard and Honda-style marine engine components from galvanic corrosion in saltwater. Each anode corrodes in place of the metal parts around it, which helps protect your engine, lower unit and the other metals it is bonded to.

Key Features:

• Zinc alloy construction made for use in saltwater, to replace worn or deteriorated original anodes
• Mil-spec alloy based on US Military specifications
• Pressure die-cast for consistent quality
• Cathodic protection for pleasure craft and other marine equipment made of iron, steel, aluminum, magnesium and other metals
• ISO 9001 quality management system covers manufacturing

Zinc anodes are intended for saltwater use. In freshwater, zinc can passivate and stop working, so a different anode material is usually the better choice there. Check the anode regularly and replace it once it has eroded significantly. After installing any new anode, check propeller clearance.
