Product Details

Martyr Anodes Mercury/Mercruiser aluminum trim tab anodes are sacrificial replacement anodes. They protect the trim tab and nearby submerged metal parts on Mercury outboards and MerCruiser sterndrives from galvanic corrosion. The anode corrodes in place of your drive's metal parts, so replacing it on schedule is a low-cost way to protect your outdrive.

Key Features:

  • Aluminum alloy construction designed for saltwater and brackish water use
  • Longer service life and higher efficiency than zinc in salt and brackish conditions
  • Cadmium-free and lighter than comparable zinc anodes
  • Bolt-on replacement design that installs in the trim tab location
  • Replacement anode for Mercury and MerCruiser trim tab applications

Aluminum resists the passivation that can make zinc stop working in brackish water. It also avoids the fast corrosion rate of magnesium in those conditions. Inspect the anode regularly and replace it when it is substantially eroded. Always check propeller clearance after installing a new trim tab anode.

2 day shipping is nice

This is one of those rare cases when I'm really eager to provide feedback because every part of this purchase transaction was simply outstanding! It was easy and straightforward to find the item (helmet) and buy it online, the price was much better than competing stores, and I was so happy when it arrived on my doorstep a mere two days after I bought it! Communication via email was clear and informative, and the helmet itself I'm very pleased with and it was packaged securely and safely. I really appreciate all the hard work by Autoplicity to make this one of those truly good shopping experiences. Thank you!

Very helpful information that determined my purchase.

As advertised and received the tires within a week. Thank you

I am satisfied with the delivery.

We found a tire here that was hard to find and it was shipped quickly. Great experience and would use this company again.
