Martyr Anodes Aluminum Anode Kit for Mercury Outboard Engines

Martyr Anodes aluminum anode kits for Mercury outboard engines are sacrificial anode sets. They protect your outboard's underwater metal parts from galvanic corrosion. Each kit bundles the anodes (sometimes called zincs) for the engine's key corrosion-prone areas, so one kit covers a routine replacement. Aluminum is the right choice for saltwater and brackish-water boating.

Key Features:

• Aluminum alloy construction: made for salt and brackish water use
• Sacrificial protection: the anodes corrode in place of your outboard's gearcase, bracket, trim and steering components
• Military specification: built to US Military Specification MIL-DTL-24779C(SH) for consistent performance
• Better than traditional zinc: Martyr states that aluminum performs at least 5% better in salt water, protects up to 50% longer, and weighs 50% less
• Environmentally friendly: contains no cadmium, which is found in traditional zinc anodes
• Replacement kit format: kits are matched to specific Mercury outboard engine families and typically include mounting hardware

Martyr is a long-established marine corrosion protection brand. Boat owners, marine technicians and OEM manufacturers rely on its anodes. Replacing worn anodes on schedule helps prevent costly corrosion damage and keeps your outboard performing well season after season.
