Martyr Anodes Maddox Anode Aluminum

The Martyr Anodes Maddox anode is a low-voltage sacrificial anode for galvanic corrosion protection on boats. It is designed to protect bronze and stainless steel underwater metals, such as through-hulls, shafts, and other submerged hardware, on fiberglass and wooden vessels. Maddox technology comes from Marine Protection Systems (MPS) and is offered through Martyr Anodes. Martyr Anodes is a brand of Canada Metal (Pacific).

Key Features:

• Low-voltage composite alloy: Gives a more neutral environment around the protected metal than a conventional zinc anode.
• Less overprotection: Helps limit coating damage, haloing around through-hulls, and excessive marine growth on underwater surfaces.
• Good for wooden boats: Reduces the risk of alkaline degradation and delignification linked to overprotection by zinc.
• Eco-friendly: Cadmium-free construction.
• Efficient design: The ridged design is intended to maximize efficiency and help the anode stay clean.
• Several styles: Available in multiple shapes and configurations for different mounting locations, including wedge, transom, and button styles.

Use a Maddox anode when you want sacrificial protection that is gentler on coatings and hardware than zinc. Martyr Anodes also offers zinc, aluminum, and magnesium anodes for vessels and metals that need a different alloy. Check the individual product listing for the style and specifications of each option.
