Permatex Valve Grinding Compound Tube

Permatex Valve Grinding Compound is a abrasive lapping paste for valve lapping, also called valve grinding. It helps create a smooth, uniform seal between the valve face and the valve seat in engine cylinder heads. Use it to restore sealing contact on reconditioned or replacement valves and seats during an engine rebuild or repair.

Key Features:

• Abrasive lapping compound made for seating engine valves
• Helps produce an even sealing surface between the valve face and the valve seat
• Useful for automotive, motorcycle, marine, and small-engine valve service
• Comes in a tube for easy application
• Water-washable cleanup after use, so you can remove residue before reassembly

Apply a small amount of compound to the valve face, then rotate the valve against the seat with a lapping tool until you get an even, matte contact pattern. Thoroughly clean all compound from the valve, seat, and cylinder head before reassembly. Permatex is a trusted name in automotive chemicals and repair products, and this compound is a dependable choice for engine builders and DIY mechanics.
