Teleflex SeaStar Solutions Safe-T QC Steering Cable

The Teleflex SeaStar Solutions Safe-T QC steering cable (also called a quick-connect rotary steering cable or SSC62-series cable) is a replacement marine steering cable. It connects a rotary helm to the engine on outboard, inboard and sterndrive boats. The snap-in helm connection is designed to make installation and replacement easier.

Key Features:

• Quick-connect design: A simple snap-in connection at the helm, plus a trapped nut that stays in place while you route the cable.
• Stainless steel cable ends: Built to resist corrosion in the marine environment.
• Low-friction core: Helps give smooth, responsive steering.
• Abrasion- and water-resistant jacket: The outer jacket resists abrasion and water intrusion.
• Safety standards: Meets ABYC and NMMA safety standards and certifications.

The cable is designed for Safe-T QC rotary steering systems. It is not a replacement for SSC72 or Detmar cables. Older Teleflex rotary helms that are not Quick Connect may need a QC adapter. To choose the right replacement, match the part number printed on your existing cable jacket. The cable is available in a range of lengths.
